Join Our Mentoring Programme Today...

Twenty-first century youths are forced to cope with far more personal and social pressures than previous generations. Early intervention through a structured mentor relationship may be able to give young people the tools and support they need to deal effectively with these pressures.

Having a closer understanding of the many social, psychological, economic and physical demands that the youths face is extremely important for the individual about to undertake the task of mentoring. Many of the students here at the EAHS are faced with some of these challenges daily.

The word, Mentoring is rather fashionable. Whatever the definition one chooses to describe mentoring, the inescapable reality is that it is a positive supportive relationship between a young person and a caring adult.

A child might find a mentor on his own by approaching a Teacher at school, a Pastor, his Coach or can be matched up with a mentor through a formal mentoring program.

Mentoring works! Research has shown that children with mentors are less likely to do drugs and are more likely to succeed in school.
